The PADI TecTrimix Diver course is seen as the "grand finale" of the Trimix course in the "Open Circuit" divers' community, and it is often considered as a "no depth limit" certification...
Although the world record in recreational tec diving is ~330 meters (~1000 feet) of depth, it takes a lot of experiences and time to go deeper and deeper.

Why do you need to take the PADI tec trimix diver course?

Hypoxic tec trimix diver To go deeper than the normoxic course, but the most important is how to handle a gas that you cannot breathe at the surface and start to be breathable at around 10 or 15 meters (30 to 50 feet) of depth and going deeper.

Going deeper than 65 meters (210 feet) means you need to learn how to use a gas where the PPO2 will allow you deeper depth, but the gas is not breathable at 1 ATM/Bar

You need to learn how to handle, and bypass-calculate counter diffusion as your back gas will contain a high helium content in the mix when switching to the deco gas with a higher nitrogen content. As well as you need to learn long exposure (any exposure).

During your course, you will dive at a maximum depth of 90 meters (300 feet), but your certification as a trimix diver will allow you to dive deeper as you get experienced in extreme dives.

If you are an experienced Tec Sidemount Diver, you might use a sidemount configuration during this course depending how you dive.
