meters (200 feet) when learning the SSI normoxic T-XR trimix diving course. The course include the full diving gear during 6 dives for 4 days.
Using a Normoxic Trimix below 50 meters (165 feet) will help you to counter the narcosis effect with the helium (an inert gas) replacing partly the nitrogen contained in the air.

Where to learn the SSI Normoxic Trimix TXR diving?
All our Tec diving lessons (open circuit or closed circuit rebreather) and technical scuba diving classes are given at our Scotty's dive center headquarters facility, located in the Shangri-la hotel in Mactan, Cebu province.
If you are not a guest of the Shangri-la hotel, you can always walk in, or we can pick you up at your hotel.

Why do you need to take the SSI Technical Normoxic XR trimix course?
The SSI normoxic TXR course will cover the risk of greater deep diving and how to manage these risk with proper gas mix.
During the SSI Normoxic diving course you will use two deco gases to allow you to dive safely. You will go down up to 60 meters (200 feet) of depth during the course.
The SSI Normoxic TXR Trimix course is an important step in technical diving as you will go deeper, you will need to learn, manage and how to counter the effect of the nitrogen (narcosis), and helium give a very good alternative to the nitrogen risk, for a safer dive at greater depth.
During the SSI Normoxic XR course, you will learn:
You will learn to handle at least two different decompression gases with different percentage of oxygen and breathable at different depth. This is to keep your PPO2 at the best for your accelerated decompression during your stops.
- Proper composition of gases needed for your dive.
- Analysing and planning your dive with the needed amount of helium in your trimix.
- Counter measure in any possible risk (gas risk at depth).
- Lost deco gas situation.

The scuba diving gear in SSI normoxic XR course includes:
Exposure suit with side pockets, BCD doughnut, SMB, cutting tool, diving spool, Jet fins, mask and another spare mask, technical diving equipments, hogarthian harness, back plate, twin tank, 2 first stage regulator, 2 second stage regulator, 1 long hose (2.10m - 7ft), as many deco tanks and regulators as needed for the normoxic courset.
If you are a certified sidemount diver you can do this course with a sidemount gear.
