Take your adventure down to 100 meters (330 feet) and be certified as an SSI hypoxic TXR diver to discover marvelous underwater world with no limits.
The SSI hypoxic XR diving course is composed of 6 dives with a total duration of 4 days (+/-).
You must be a certified:
- A Technical XR Diver or equivalent.
- With Science of Diving or equivalent.
- Stress and Rescue or equivalent
Have logged more than 100 dives, including at least 30 dives deeper than 30 meters (100 feet), 10 dives deeper than 50 meters (165 feet) and at least 20 dives requiring staged decompression with at least 2 gas switches.
Where to learn the SSI Hypoxic XR Trimix diving course?
All our trimix lessons (open circuit or closed circuit rebreather) and technical scuba diving classes are given at our Scotty's dive center headquarters facility, located in the Shangri-la hotel in Mactan, Cebu province.
If you are not a guest of the Shangri-la hotel, you can always walk in, or we can pick you up at your hotel.

Why do you need to take SSI hypoxic XR diving course?
As a technical diver you know already that going deeper need specialized gas, gas management, and a lot more each time you go deeper and deeper.
The Hypoxic Trimix course is the pinnacle of this long path of technical diving, but you need to learn how to handle gases which are not breathable at the surface, to learn how to use a travel gas, learn some new skills, equipment and get experiences from all of your previous training.
This is the last level of technical trimix with the SSI hypoxic XR diving course and you will have the chance to dive to 100 meters (330 feet) with proper mixes of multiple gases or 80 meters (260 feet) as you have the choice.
During the SSI Hypoxic XR Trimix diving course, you will learn:
You will learn to handle multiple decompression tanks (max up to four during the course) with an hyperoxic trimix to solve the conterdiffusion problem as well as the narcose problems during the switch, also:
- Proper mixtures of multiple deco gases.
- Application of skills and learnings of previous courses.
- Knowledge development in possible risk and countermeasures needed.
- Long O2 effect on the vascular system.
- Counter diffusion and how to minimize it.
- And much more

The scuba diving gear in SSI hypoxic XR diving course includes:
An exposure suit with side pockets and a hood, BCD doughnut, SMB, cutting tool, diving spool, Jet fins, mask and another spare mask, technical diving equipments, 1 long hose (2.10m - 7ft), hogarthian harness, back plate, twin tanks + 3 to 4 sling tanks, 5 to 6 first stage regulators, 5 to 6 second stage regulators, a 120 meters (400 feet) exploration reel.
If you are a certified Technical Sidemount, you can do the course using a sidemount gear.
