The purpose of the SSI Technical Wreck diving course is to provide divers the best knowledge
for doing deep penetrations into shipwrecks with unlimed decompression.
With the SSI Technical Wreck diving certification, you will be able to explore in deep any wrecks worldwide using multi-stage deco tanks and unlimited decompression, which will allow you a lot of time to spend inside a wreck.
During the Technical Wreck diver course, you will simulate many dangerous situations for you to learn how to explore a wreck safely and how to handle these situations in case it happen one day.
The Technical wreck diving course allows you to use different gases like a Trimix, Nitrox, Oxygen, use specific types of equipment and improve your skills to be able to penetrate any wrecks in the world.

All the overhead environment and technical diving classes, courses and lessons, are taught in our Scotty's headquarters in Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu region.

Why do you need to learn the SSI Technical Wreck diving?
The SSI Technical Wreck diving course will take you on an epic adventure in venturing sunken wrecks and making your way in and out safely.
This class will allow you to explore in deep any wrecks around the world at any depth with unlimited decompression stops.
There are a lot of dangers inheritance to deep wreck penetration, especially when you are laying lines and you cannot see the light outside. The Technical Wreck diving course will teach you how to prevent these inners dangers.
You will also learn about a situation where you lost light (total failure), or how to recover the guide line when if you lost it, even the different procedures where a diver is lost.
At the end of this course and once completing the program, you will earn the SSI Technical Wreck Diving certification, which will give you the pass to dive any wrecks with the knowledge and skill required.

You will learn a lot on how to explore a wreck properly. Below are listed just a few skills and training you will do during this class.
- Advanced level in buoyancy control and finning techniques in overhead environment.
- Proper usage of laying lines, put a gap and a jump line.
- Light and body contact signals.
- Handling lost line, lost lights and lost diver situations.
- Planning your decompression, drop your deco tanks and get them back.
- Proper knots and care of sharp and unstable objects.
- Learn how to handle the inner dangers of wreck diving (like escaping entangle nets).

If using trimix during this course, you will dive at a maximum depth of 60 meters (200 feet) with an END (Equivalent Narcotic Depth) between 20 and 25 meters max (the same rule that applies for cave diving).

The scuba diving gear needed with the SSI Technical Wreck diving course includes:
Underwater flash light and 2 spare flash lights, 2 first stage regulator, 2 second stage regulator, exposure suit with side pockets, BCD doughnut, SMB, cutting tool, 3 diving spool (40-50 meters each), exploration reel (120 meters), Jet fins, mask and another spare mask, technical diving equipments, 1 long hose (2.10m - 7ft), hogarthian harness, back plate, twin tank, as many deco tanks and their regulars as needed.
You can use a sidemount gear during this course if you are qualified for.
