Learn limited decompression using Nitrox.

Learn how to use a stage decompression tank.

Add an additional Nitrox tank on your side.

Technical Diving: The SSI Extended Range Nitrox diving XR course.

The SSI Extended Range Nitrox diving With the SSI Extended Range Nitrox, you will learn to do limited decompression dive (up to 15 minutes of decompression) with an accelerated deco gas using the standard 50% Nitrox.

You can use your recreational gear (the traditional BCD AKA Stab) with a single tank (cylinder), but you will hook a sling tank (a 5.7 liters / S40 type) with a 50% Nitrox to accelerate your deco, on your side.

Having a spare tank (cylinder) is an excellent way to dive safer as you have a gas which is breathable starting from 21 meters (68 feet) up to the surface, in case you get a sudden big leak in your back gas.

To start the SSI Extended Range Nitrox, you need to be certified as a deep diver or equivalent and be a certified nitrox diver or equivalent too.
