Why do you need to learn the SSI Extended Range XR diving?
The SSI XR diving course will provide you the necessary training in planning and do limited decompression dives down to a maximum of 45 meters (145 feet) with any nitrox up to 100% oxygen.
Having an accelerated decompression (Nitrox are accelerated decompression gases) is a lot safer than doing a decompression on air.
So you need to learn the ins and outs of using an accelerated deco gas.
It's also the next logical step in your technical diving education, and this certification is required if you want to go further.
During the SSI Extended Range XR diving course, you will learn:
With the SSI Extended Range diving class you will learn how to use any nitrox up to 100% of oxygen as a decompression gas, but you will also learn:
- How a full technical rig is selected, assembled, and used.
- First step to technical decompression diving.
- Additional skills and knowledge in technical diving.
- Handle a sling tank / decompression tank (cylinder).
