Technical Diving: The PADI Discover Tec diving to try technical diving.
With the PADI discover tec, you will try and discover the technical side of scuba diving. Suit up with our tec diving gears and take it to the test.
This is not a course, but more or less an intro to technical diving!
We will show you the tec gear, you will try it and dive with it (and us).
At the end you will feel what a tec diver can feel and why they love tec diving.
After your Discover Tec, if you like to continue your journey to the "dark side" it will be easy, other wise if you didn't liked to dive like a Tec Diver, you have at least tried to say "no" to the technical diving.
Where can you Discover Tec diving?
Our Tec Diving facility is located at the Scotty's dive shop in Mactan (In the Shangri-la hotel facilities).
You can walk in even if you are not a guest of the Shangri-la or we can pick you up at your hotel.

Why do you need to try the PADI Discover Tec?
First, if you are worried about time, you don't have to because it's just one dive to Discover Tec.
With the Discover Tec you will get a chance to try technical (tec) diving using the tec scuba gears for a test dive (around one hour lurking underwater).
As a result, after your test dive, you will have a good idea if you want to continue on the technical diving side, or not without regrets or bitterness.
In all case, the PADI Discover Tec is a must to try as it is a lot of fun, a new experience and it is not a course.
During the PADI Discover Tec diving experience, you will:
The extructor will introduce you to the technical equipment, go over few basics skills, adjust the tec gear to your size.
Then you will jump in the water and enjoy lurking around while having new feelings with the behavior of the tec equipment.
- Introductory lesson and go over basic skills for tec diving.
- Proper handling and usage of tec diving gears and equipments.
- Learn basic gear configuration and tech diving drills.
If you continue to the Tec 40, this dive might count in the Tec 40 course.

The scuba diving gear in the PADI discover tec diving experience, includes:
A set of twin tank (double cylinders), technical diving equipments, BCD doughnut, back plate, hogarthian harness, 2 first stage regulator, 2 second stage regulator, 1 long hose (2.10m - 7ft), Jet fins, mask, exposure suit.
All the technical gear is included in this diving experience.
