The Cuatro islas have a lot of diving sites.

The Cuatro islas diving site Cuatro islas in spanish means "Four islands", and yes, this diving site is composed of 4 islands:

Himuquitan island at the south.
Apit island in the middle.
Mahaba island at the north-west.
Dagyo island know also as Daquio islet at the north-east

The south-west of the Himuquitan island (which is locally called Hinukilan island) has a gorgeous "inverted" wall, going down to 50 meters (165 feet), with many crevices above and tiny caverns on the wall itself.

The Cuatro islas are situated at 73 kilometers (40 nautical miles) heading to the 74° from our Scotty's dive center headquarters in Mactan.
Going to the Cuatro islas is a day trip safari. We leave early in the morning, have 3 dives on the different diving sites around Cuatro islas and come back before the night.
The minimum level is open water with a nice buoyancy, advanced and nitrox diver will enjoy taking photographs of the different cracks and crevisses around 25 meters (80 feet) along the wall.

But Cuatro islas (the 4 islands) are not only good for diving, they are a must to visit for themselves. They have beautiful white sand beaches, where you can play or sunbathe during your surface interval.
The sea is so clear that even just snorkeling or swimming around these islands is an unforgettable experience.

Diving at the Cuatro islas The first impressions are the huge visibility and the ray of light which are glowing on the wall of the south west diving site.
The inverted wall is the must to see (inverted because instead of going down straight or like a slope, it goes down but under the top, means in a negative way).
It's a fantastic experience to dive along a wall where the top is straight up above you like an umbrella with some holes in it where the rays of the sun give a surreal effect to the surrounding underwater environment.

The variety of the soft and hard corals is a must to see.
Most of the 4 islands are surrounded with a high plateau as low as 2 to 3 meters (6 to 10 feet) before the drop off of the wall, which makes the safety stop very safe and well protected at the end of the dive.

It's a must to do experience as a diver and for the whole family as an island excursion, or even just an island tour.

So if you are a diver but your children don't dive (yet), they will also enjoy this fantastic adventure swimming, snorkeling, jumping and diving from our luxurious bangka or playing on the beach of these 4 islands.

In all case, do not forget your underwater camera as there is a lot of things to photography at Cuatro islas.
On the way there and back, you might be able to see dolphins and whales! But for sure you will see a lot of flying fishes during the safari.
