Coral garden in Boracay is like diving in a garden made of corals.
One of the most visited diving sites in Boracay is the Coral garden dive site also known as the house reef dive site.
Coral garden got its name from the hard corals that are forming all over the reef, especially the cabbage corals and the numerous species of soft corals.
Coral garden is at 4 kilometers (2 nautical miles), heading to the 333° from our dive center in Boracay. It's a shallow dive where the minimum depth is around 5 meters (15 feet) to a maximum of 12 to 15 meters (40 to 50 feet) deep.
The average shallow depth made the Coral garden dive site an ideal place for beginners in scuba diving and a perfect dive site for underwater photographers.
The Coral garden reef is also accessible, in its shallow part, to the snorkelers who just want to snorkel above the amazing coral garden.
The waters in this area are calm and clear. Coral garden is also a popular fish-feeding area for the people who want to go try scuba-diving.
The Coral garden diving site has almost no currents which makes it perfect for training beginner scuba-divers or just fun dives with your friends and family.
Diving in the Coral garden dive site.
The first thing to come in mind, during the descend of this dive, is "Wow that's nice".
A colorful garden made with hundreds of species of corals pop up to your eyes while diving, in every meter is a discovery about what mother nature can do.
A lot of reef fishes are shoaling all around at Coral garden, they even come straight to you thinking you will feed them. Nice pictures can be done here while you are totally surrounded by different shoals of fishes.
Underwater macro photography is a must to do at the Coral garden dive site. Numerous variety of colorful nudibranchs are crawling everywhere, as well as gobbies, shrimps and even some slipper lobster.
