After taking our PADI Night Diver course, you will discover incredible underwater night life
Have you ever wondered what happens underwater at night? Every place on land changes at night, so how about the place you just dived during the day?
With your Padi Night Diver certification, diving at night will open up brand new worlds. Dive sites you have visited many times during the day change dramatically at night!
One thing that jumps out at you at night is the color. The colors of the different coral species really pop! If you thought you knew their true colors during the day, you are 20,000 leagues from the truth!
During a night dive, the surrounding darkness is peaceful. Night dives are actually more relaxing than diving during the day. You focus only on what you see with your flashlight.
The marine life is also very different at night. Countless species that sleep and hide during the day come out at night.

Why should you learn how to dive at night?
Night diving allows you to venture into a whole new world of scuba diving. And, yes, the same diving spot looks entirely different at night than it does during the day.
During a pitch black night, you will not be able to communicate with your buddies using hand signals. Instead, you will warn them with your underwater flashlight. In turn, you need to understand your team's flashlight signals.
Night diving requires even more contact with your buddies. Also, you will need to practice handling emergency situations at night.
Besides the beauty of the nocturnal marine life, it also poses potential dangers. For example, unfamiliar species may be venomous. You need to be able to identify new hazards.
During our PADI Night Diver course, you will learn:
With our PADI Night Diver, you will learn how to control your buoyancy without visual landmarks. You will use your bottom timer or dive computer and your feelings. You will focus on what your light beam shows you. You will understand what you have missed during the day, because you will be paying closer attention to details. You will also learn:
- how to handle a light and communicate with it
- procedures to enter and exit the water at night
- navigation in the dark
- nocturnal marine behaviors
And much more.
