Why should you learn how to dive with nitrox?
Replacing some of the nitrogen content in your tank with oxygen allows you to have a longer bottom time before reaching your No Decompression Limit (NDL).
However, that is not the only benefit to diving with nitrox! After multiple dives on the same day, you will feel less fatigue. This is because your body has less nitrogen in it.
It also shortens your surface intervals between multiple dives. Over all, your no-decompression limit will be longer than on air, even during multiple dives.
There are two options for the Nitrox course. You can learn in a classroom-only environment. You will be certified after just half a day. Or, you can learn with two nitrox dives. The latter is a full day course.
During our PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course, you will learn:
You will learn that having a higher oxygen content in your tank, and less nitrogen, increase your NDL (No Decompression Limit).
You will learn how to set up your computer for Nitrox dives. You will learn how to manage your oxygen exposure and calculate your PPO2. This determines your maximum depth with the oxygen content in your tank.
You will also learn to:
- choose enriched air/Nitrox equipment
- analyze your Nitrox tank
- determine your maximum depth with your oxygen content
