Island Hopping Pandanon Island, Bohol
Pandanon Island lies between Cebu province and Bohol Province about 1-2 hours by local outrigger boat from Mactan Island (faster with our boats). If the weather is right, though, you can see Bohol Island.
While the west side of Pandanon Island has a 2,000-person village, the east side feels like a private island. It is undeveloped and more secluded than Hilutungan Island, Nalusuan Island, and Cauhagan Island.
This tropical island has white sand beaches and white sandbars. The crystal clear blue water has high visibility. And the shallow water is great for swimming. For shade, Pandanon Island has cottages for rent. There is also a quaint, small hut in the middle of the water.
A Mediterranean Island in the Pacific Ocean
An unfinished structure on Pandanon Island's east side resembles ancient Greek ruins. This is because it has white columns in the style of Greek Doric columns. This might be unique to the Philippines.
Like a Mediterranean view, a Pandanon Island view includes clear blue waters. Unlike a Mediterranean view, Pandanon Island offers this view in all directions, even while snorkeling.
To add to this feeling, Pandanon Island has a small chapel, small cottages, and boats at sea. In other words, picture-taking opportunities are everywhere.
Your Pandanon Island Excursion
One thing you can do on Pandanon Island is venture over to the populated side and meet the residents. Other potential activities include:
- playing beach football
- playing beach volleyball
- personal watercraft riding (Jet Skiing)
- playing tug of war (war of tug, tug o' war, tug war, rope war, rope pulling, tug rope, tugging war, toutrek)
- walking along the sandbar
Be sure to include Pandanon Island in your tropical island package tour.
