Dive Cabilao Island!
The diving at Cabilao Island is world-renowned for its soft corals, stunning walls and intricate swimthroughs. You can dive one of the world's best dive sites, Cabilao Island, while having your surface interval onboard our luxury banca boat. Cabilao Island is largely declared as a marine protected area, making your diving the best it can be.
How do we get to Cabilao? The island of Cabilao is set in the southern Bohol Sea, between Cebu and Bohol. Our diving day trip to Cabilao generally departs our dive centre at 8am. Under normal weather conditions, you will be diving Cabilao by 10am. You'll be aboard a luxury banca boat- an upgrade from a traditional outrigger-style filipino design.
Our Cabilao Day trip is a 2-dive outing which lasts most of the day. After your first dive at Cabilao, you will reboard our custom diving banca boat for a lunch break* and surface interval. After that, we will transfer to another one of the breath-taking dive sites of Cabilao for our second dive. Once our diving is complete, we will cruise the blue-green waters of the Bohol Sea on our way back to Scotty's Dive Centre.
What will we see at Cabilao?
The island of Cabilao is festooned with bright colored corals, both hard and soft. Cabilao is every photographer's area, offering a multitude of fore-frames with beautiful fish to fill the shot. Typical visibility is 30-45 meters along deep walls and vibrant shallow reefs. There are twisting swim-throughs and the possibility of seeing hammerheads out in the blue.
What do we need to bring to Cabilao?
*Lunch is the most important thing to remember when booking your Cabilao day trip. Room service of your resort can easily have your lunch prepared for you before our departure time, just be sure to order it the evening before.
Sunblock is another important thing to remember when you are headed to Cabilao. Yes, our luxury banca boat does have shade, but most guests find the warm sun just too hard to resist.
Also, feel free to bring a hat, book, or anything else you think will make your diving day more comfortable at Cabilao!
We will provide drinking water, towels, and knowledgeable and entertaining dive staff to make your Cabilao dive trip one to remember!
