The PADI Divemaster rating is the most sought-after professional diving qualification in the world. The reason is that PADI Divemasters have been developing the role and reputation of the PADI Divemaster for decades. Come and take your PADI Divemaster course in Cebu and join the ranks of diving's elite! The PADI Divemaster course is a prerequisite for the PADI Assistant Instructor Course.
Quite simply, it's the way professionals learn to dive. This is your chance to earn a life-long diving ticket paradise while studying in the beautiful setting of Cebu, Philippines. The PADI Divemaster Course uses excellent multimedia materials and strategies to give you the knowledge required of a professional diver.
Your PADI Divemaster qualification will be recognized around the world. An additional benefit of doing your PADI Divemaster training in Cebu is that you won't be professionally associated with other "dive-factory" locations. If you want professional diver training from truly professional instructors, then taking your Divemaster Course in Cebu with Scotty's is a logical choice.
How long your PADI Divemaster course will take is greatly dependent upon you, the candidate. Most divemaster candidates take 6-8 weeks to successfully achieve what is expected of them. However, some motivated and dedicated divemaster candidates have completed all divemaster course performance requirements in as little as two weeks, we recommend spending as much time around the dive center as you can, this all adds up to experience making you a better trained dive professional and an asset to any dive store.
The PADI Divemaster course is designed to develop your knowledge, skills, and attitude as a dive professional. These three key characteristics are expected by certified divers and students alike. So, they're expected of every divemaster candidate before being welcomed into the world of the PADI Professional.
You will have two exams to complete. Three sections will cover your duties as a professionally working PADI divemaster. The other five Divemaster exam topics are: Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory and the RDP, Skills and Environment, and finally- equipment. Your knowledge development is primarily self-study but our team of instructors is always on hand for coaching and counseling.
You will also develop professional-level, demonstration-quality dive skills. You must possess this level of skill in order to effectively assist an instructor or to safely handle paying divers. We will help you develop to that level.
The attitude of the PADI Divemaster is positive, professional and quality-conscious. We will help you to adopt this attitude by involvement in special activities and by the fact that you will be working along side some of the most positive and creative individuals professional diving has to offer. We invite you to come share our enthusiasm by becoming a PADI Divemaster.
By the end of your course, you must have at least 60 logged dives. Long-term internship options are available to qualified applicants.
Scotty’s Divemaster course is 36,000.00 PHP, this covers your training, equipment use and unlimited diving during your program. Not included are your required materials, we keep these separate as many people prefer to purchase them before their course and get a head start on the study, this is fine, or, if you wish, or we can order them for you when you arrive. See PADI.com for current crewpack contents and costs or email us for more info. At the end of your program you will need to pay a registration fee to PADI, these change yearly so please email us for current fees.
Scotty’s do not currently provide accommodation, however there are many places to stay locally to suit all tastes and budgets, anyone staying longer than a week will probably want to rent an apartment on a monthly basis, you will easily find something that matches your requirements. We normally recommend staying in a hotel for your first few nights and have a look round, we are also more than happy to help with this, just email us your requirements and budget and we can make some recommendations for you.
