Freediving Level 1: Become Freediver
Learn the basics of freediving and be guided with a freediver instructor to the exciting and relaxing world of freediving.
You will learn the theories behind freediving, its purpose, benefits and knowledge development in the academics section on freediving that you will need once you step into the world of freediving. You will be guided by our freediver instructor on learning how to breath longer while you’re still on the surface and walk through on what to do once you step foot below the water surface.
Once you are taught by the basics and knowledge development of freediving, you will be dipping to a confined water or pool training to test your skills and limits on your first freedive. Applying the basic skills from the academic sessions, you will now submerge into the pool and test holding your breath as long as possible while floating face down on the surface of the pool.
In the event that the instructor finds your freediving skills are ready for an actual dive, you will be guided to freedive down to a depth of 20 metres (65ft) with your instructor and test your limit with the newly acquired skills of freediving.
Where to take the SSI Freediver Class?
You can take the Freediving course at Scotty's Mactan, Cebu.
Children as young as 10 years old and above can take the course for 2 days with two pool sessions and two ocean sessions.

Why do you need to take the first level of the Freediving course?
The Freediver course is a start on your freediving journey. If you enjoyed your Try Freediving lessons, this course would give you the in-depth skills, techniques, academics, and training to become a certified freediver.
On the first level of the freediving course, your instructor will teach you all you need to know about the basics of freediving, conduct pool, and ocean dive sessions to test your skills, and most importantly, have fun while learning the safe and exciting ways on how to freedive.
After taking this course and be certified as freediver, you will be able to practice and perform your skills for actual freedives down to depths of 20 meters (~65 feet).
Whether you just want to do recreational freediving or be a freediving athlete, this course is your first step to the freediving world.
